A young Italian musician called Gianzo introduced me to his friend, Kenye from Chicago, a singer working as a waitress in a restaurant in Brompton Road. I happened to have a bluesy-sounding backing track with some melodic guitar ideas that I felt could be turned into a song over a solid drumbeat played by Blair Cunningham. So Kenye sang to this and came up with some lyrics. I helped to complete the lyrics and shape up the melody, which was based on my original melodic guitar ideas. Later I replaced my original guitar with some more suitable licks on Fender Stratocaster and also added bass guitar playing a vintage Fender Precision Bass.
After the recording was finished, Kenye returned to Chicago and I lost contact with her, despite a brief phone call some time later to say that she had returned from Chicago and would call me again soon.
