Graham Dean specializes in pop, jazz and big band styles and has worked with many household names in show business, pop and jazz. From musicals such as Jesus Christ, Superstar and pantomimes with Cannon & Ball to bands featuring such luminaries as Maynard Ferguson, Pepper Adams, Don Lusher, Don Weller, Digby Fairweather and Geoff Love, Graham has a wealth of experience playing ‘live’ shows.
His excellent sight-reading skills have been in demand at recent high-profile shows such as “Ain’t Misbehaving”, a tribute to Fats Waller at the Crucible in Sheffield, the Paul Rouse Elvis Tribute show at Reading Hexagon theatre, and The Blues Brothers show touring the UK in Autumn 2008.
No stranger to contemporary jazz, jazz fusion and jazz funk styles, Graham has also played with groups such as Free Parking, Emanon, the Gary Boyle band, the Snake Davis Band, the Sheila Tracey Big Band, and Chris Smith’s Five Star Swing.
Since 1998, Graham has also been performing live and for broadcast occupying the drummer’s seat in The Joe Loss Orchestra, with regular appearances at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle for the Royal Family.
